So who has surgery this week?

Question:
I haven't been checking the August thread too closely. If you have surgery this week, would you list here the day and what you're having done? I'd like to pray for you. Thanks and best wishes to you!
Answer:

I go in Thursday for my hysterectomy and TT.
Had my preop Wednesday and then headed to the beach for a glorious long weekend (minus triplets!)
I did get a little worried when I grabbed a love handle and asked my ps if that would be gone...she said she does some contouring but it won't all be gone...I think I might ask when I go back this week if she plans to that away???
I think the most valuable thing I've learned from lurking here is to have reasonable expectations mine are:
1. Not to have to lift up a flap to wash and dry!
2. Not have to move my lower belly off of my thighs when I sit down.
3. Be able to tuck in a shirt (have not done so since before )
4. Not have aching back from carrying around big apron.

Someone please email me this list when I'm post op and probably complaining because I don't look like our 18 year old baby sitter...remind me of the flap, the flab and the big ugly mess...remind me that this surgery is not going to take this 37 year old lady back to her early twenties when calories were something fat people worried and shopping in the jr. section was taken for granted!
Remind me that it's not about achieving the unachievable, but improving even if slightly for a better frame of mind!
thanks in advance!
Answer:

hi, i go in friday morning, tt/mr. can't wait till it's over, i just want to go to sleep and wake up next month. haha!!
Answer:

hi i go in tuesday at 1pm, for my first phase of my tt. I only am getting the as he must go in and re direct my blood flow, because of my gall bladder scar. Wish me luck as when i awake, my stomach will look totally the same, but with a scar. As my ps told me, this is the only way to promote heathier healing, when you have a gall bladder scar. Not to rush into things, must be more gentle with me. I just wish i could wake up and tummy be gone, but knows best.

Pray for me please, i really am scared, considering iam a rare case here, i havent seen to many posts of ladies here going through it twice, because of a gall bladder scar, so i really need your prs starting at 11 am on tuesday as thats when i will be at the clinic, and 1pm i will be out.

hugs to you all

tammy

Answer:

i'm scheduled for 08/08 (tues) @ 1pm. i will be having a tt/mr and was going to have fat transfer to my lips but i changed my mind this weekend!i'm 5'2 and 136#, i've had six children who were all 5 pounds at birth. i'm mainly having this procedure done due to the massive s i've gotten and to remove that tiny pouch below my belly button. i live in where you can go to the beach all year round and i can't even wear my bikini without my board shorts. i can't wait to go to the beach in my bikini only! but i'm ed now! just 2 more days! please, please say a pr for me okay !

So, no one tomorrow, then:

hummergirl, DevinsYTime, and jojaggers on Tuesday

tripletmommy on Thursday

Kristalea, Princessmommy on Friday

This is my last week of vacation and I am keeping up on everyone and praying each day for the surgeries of the day. After this week, I'll have less time, but I've enjoyed praying for everyone who's come after me that I knew of.

Best wishes to all of you this week. I will be praying.

Any others for this week?
Answer:

Ok girls, No TT for me this week, I'm already the proud resident of the flatlands. I'm getting my left back on Tuesday (I lost it to an infection on my left side in April). Cant wait to wake up and feel "not broken"

Good luck girls, I'll be thinking about you.

Answer:

Hey Rachel! My turn isn't until the end of the month, but when I saw this thread, I just had to respond to your kindness. The people on this board just amaze me with the kind words and prs and wishful thinking they have for one another, complete strangers might I add! You're just such an encouragement every time I read one of your posts and just wanted you to know that people do notice. Your awesome and I look forward to the day when I can say "It's my turn, please pray!" Oh...and to all those whose turn is this week, I'll say a prayer as well!
Answer:

Rachel....

who would have thought a board would provide so much support and comfort!! Thank you so much for thinking of all of us...
prs around for everyone this week!

we are headed for the flatlands!!! I think I will deduct the cost of this from the triplets college fund, I think they owe me..as a matter of fact, the money spent on in-vitro should come out of any future allowance. These kids are in the hole big time!!!

have not showered yet today, so only 4 more days of holding up flab!!! A little gross, but I'm sure some of you can relate!
Answer:

Kathryn, I added you to the list.

Bluebonnet, of course I will pray for you! It was such a comfort to me when it was my turn to know people were praying for me. And what greater thing can we do for someone (and it's so easy)!

Tripletmommy: lol about the triplets' debt!

Have a good day, all! Keep busy, busy, busy, and before you know it, the surgery will be over!

Oh, and post back as soon as you are able after your surgeries.
