Mine's a (has a velcro crotch) and I'm supposed to wear it for 6 weeks. I think every ps is different, some don't use them at all, some only for a week or two, some are like mine where they want that constant compression for 6 weeks.

I had to wear it for one week. After that nothing that touches the incision line so I invested in some Hanes Barely There underwear.

My PS wants me in a or garment for 6 weeks with leg comression for the . Today I received my new Stage 2 that I ordered from MMH. I LOVE it!!! It has an open crotch and hits me right at the knee all the way up to bra line. It's so much more comfy than the original 3-panel Stage 1 binder and compression hose I was wearing. Hopefully as the swelling goes down I will move to a smaller size.

I was never told a guideline, my PS said everyone heals different and at a different rate! I was told though at about 4 weeks to go without, but the swelling got so bad I still use it on bad days...helps the swelling! I also still wear it when I work out...I'm 9 1/2 weks PO!

My PS also said 6 weeks. But, I was without the first week because of all the bandages. 3 weeks 24/7 last 3 weeks 12hrs on 12hrs off.

HI, I HAD TT/MR DONE 23RD AUG. I HAD NO GARMENT MY SURGEON SAID I WOULDNT NEED ONE!! HE SAID THAT HE ONLY USED THEM ON PATIENTS WHO HAD . ALTHOUGH I HAD MR DONE IT WAS ONLY FROM WAIST DOWN, DIDNT NEED THE TOP HALF DONE SO MAYBE THAT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT ALSO.
I HAD THE COMPRESSION SOCKS THAT GO ALL THE WAY UP TO THE TOP OF THE THIGH AND HAD TO WEAR THEM FOR 2 WEEKS SO HELP STOP ANY BLOOD CLOTS, JUST LONG ENOUGH UNTIL I WAS MOVING ABOUT NORMALLY AGAIN.
AFTER FINDING THIS SITE I HAVE NOW REALISED THAT EACH SURGEON DOES THINGS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT, I DONT THINK ONE IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER, THEY JUST HAVE DIFFERENT IDEAS.
