Question:
OK, its been 3 days and I feel perfectly fine standing straight - but I am afraid I shouldn't (?) Like if i do, the won't heal because I am "pulling" it apart. Is it ok to stand straight?
Also, as far as laying down - Am I supposed to be on an incline because of circulation or comforability? When can I sleep like a normal person?
THANKs for the post-op info! I am sure I'll have more Q's
Answer:
Hi Jen,
I asked that same question at my 6 day PO apt. PS said you cannot damage anything by standing straight. You will only hurt your back by hunching over. She did suggest sleeping propped up for a couple weeks. I guess whatever is most comfortable. You sound like a quick healer!
Congratulations!
Answer:
I had my TT done on 2 Jan and it was quite extensive due to c section tissue. I'm lucky enough to have a great overstuffed leather recliner. My dr told me to sleep in it for at least 3 weeks. I sleep fine, but Ive been very tight from day 1 and still have to hunch over to get around. This does get a bit rough on the lower back, but the heating pad works wonders on this. I don't know if if makes a difference but my swelling is minimal and my incisions are nice and tight.
