Question:
I didn't shave cause with the evil flap I was afraid of cutting off something I wished I hadn't. I woke up shaved and this growing back in is driving me nuts.

Answer:
shaved it all off (At least the places I could reach lol). Did it the week before and just trimmed the night before, kept the bumps from popping up. They still took a razor to me, but at least they didn't have to mow!
Answer:
I always shave everything off and i did the night before. I am glad that i did because when i arrived at the hospital the nurse wanted to do it while i was still awake!

I've been dying to ask the same question!!
Any tips on finding a good waxer? Is a Brazilian bare? What is a "Rio" then - it is on my Salon's list of services....
<<I'm so dumb!!>>
Answer:
A brazilian is bare. I'm so glad I got waxed b/c they put a lot of tape on that area and it would hurt a lot more with hair there too. I'm not sure what a Rio is.
Answer:
I shaved bare - be sure to use a NEW razor and PS recommended using Hibbacleanse soap the night before and the morning of.
The bad thing about shaving - I am now 10 days post op still have 1 drain in and its starting grow back in.....its catching on the gauze and pulling and it itches.....i cant wait to shower!!
Answer:
My PS told me to shave just the top part of my pubic area. I shaved everything! I used to always shave (cause I'm hairy as hell), but I would leave a triangle of hair. Now, I just keep myself clean shaven. For some reason, I prefer it bald now. Hmmmmm . . . what's that you say about a Brazilian Wax? How painful is it on a scale of 1 to 10?
Answer:
Interesting conversation. I am fed up! Decided to go almost bare before and after the surgery, especially now it's so high!!! It's such a pain!!! Razors give me bumps..how unattractive!!!! Grows back so fast. Can you use nair?
Answer:
Be careful of Nair. I used it once on my legs and got a horrible rash and my legs were bleeding all over. It took months for the rash to disappear. I've never used the stuff again. Check on a small area of your first, and not the pubic area, to see how your skin reacts to it. The last thing you need is a rash and bleeding in that area.

Answer:
Honestly, I hadn't even SEEN the area for 30 years, never mind shave it! After my surgery I was a bit surprised to see my incision line go right through the hair (never mind the fact that I could even see the area!) and it was pulled up and a bit tighter than before - which was a good thing.
Now I shave just because I can, and I leave a bit of a landing strip, experimenting with different shapes every now and then. Plus, I don't need my glasses to do this task so I treasure the fact that I don't need help.
