Answer:

I did, quite a few years ago.
My boss(I'm a hairdresser) was doing them, and she had me be a model for a class.
It actually did take inches off. If you are at a stabilized weight, it will stay off for a while.
It doesn't go right back as soon as you drink water, like some people think.

Usually you do a few sessions. It's great if you have a big event and want to look fabulous. Or if you're in the process of losing weight, it gives you a big boost.

As a trained cosmetologist I can tell you there is a product on the market that is used in most salon's today (MLIS) that does in fact break down the directly under the s surface. After the body wrap treatment a person is encouraged to drink 8 ounces of water every hour to flush the broken down cellulite from your system. This wrap can make you feel slightly sick and give you a headache because of the amount of impurities it flushes from your system. If you don't put on weight (just maintain what you have) these treatments will last. I've had several done AND have performed several on clients and the normal OVERALL inch loss is anywhere from 2 - 14 inches. It's important to understand that the inch loss is a combination of inches reduced from your ankles up to your rib cage and upper arms. The most I've ever had a cliet "lose" was 12 inches, with 3 of them coming off of her abdomen. They take about 2 hours as several parts of your body needs to be measured accurately before and after the wrap. You will be scrubbed with a great exfoliater, have it wiped off, then painted with the cellulite and wrapped in saran wrap (up each leg, around the hips, abdomen, waist, and rib cage, as well as upper arms). Often this cream will turn your skin red and some people find it burns at first. The wrapping must remain in place for a full 60 minutes to be effective. Personally, I would not do this on anyone who had any type of abdominal surgery within 12 months due to the possible irritation around the incision site. I would also be very concerned about the effects of using a product that goes into the skin to destroy cellulose cells if the abdominal wall were not connected to the abdomin muscles. It's a great tool to help combat cellulite, but it shouldn't be used as a cure-all and should be used with caution after surgery.
