Question:
So i had my surgery on Monday. I was supposed to have a MTT, , BR & BL. After my did the lipo on my flanks and upper abdomen and started doing to mini-tuck, he wasn't happy with how it was turning out, so he ended up doing a full . He told my husband you could bounce a quarter off my stomach. so i have a flat tummy and a new belly button. I still have on the and drains, so I haven't seen my stomach yet, but it is definitly flat. I went in yesterday for a post op and saw my breasts for the first time. Love them! I will finally be able to wear normal tops and not look like a "stripper". The doctor unzipped the sides of my girdle to check the tummy tuck sutures and the drain sites and my mom said that she could see across my stomach and that it looks great. I go back in on Monday and hopefully get my drains out then. I am so happy that my doctor was a perfectionist and decided to do the full tuck so that I would look great. He did say that my muscle separation wasn't as bad as he thought, but that it is all fixed now. Okay, I have rambled on enough, just had to check in and let everyone know that I am doing great! Hopefully next week I will be able to take post op pics without the girdle on and I can post them.
Have a great weekend!!

Hi Austingirl,
Welcome to the flatlands. I bet you are so happy to have made it over here. You are now in a group of very special ladies who have done something positive about themselves and didn't just sit there and wished they did.
I'm so happy for you. Now you sit back and let your DH and Mom wait on you, you eat right, and rest. This is YOUR time to be the center of attention and you've done and will do plenty in your life that will pay back those that help you now.
Take care,
SweetIrish

Hey fellow Austinite! Congrats on a successful surgery and I think even after the pain and recovery you will be soooo glad they did the ftt vs. the mtt. Especially if you really needed it, I'm sure you'll look awesome and just remember now to rest rest rest these first couple weeks and let your body heal and take your meds!!
Answer:
That's awesome that your belly will be so flat. Since you thought you were only having a MTT, and he actually did MR, is that going to add alot to the cost?
How's the pain?
I just scheduled mine, so excited.
Autingirl, Do you mean ? I live in Austin too! Who was your PS?
Answer:

I used Dr. Schafferle at Personique. I have had one post op visit on Thurs, when he checked the drains and stuff, but didn't mention anything about charging me more for doing the full instead of the mini. I guess since he made the decision during surgery. He is actually retiring at the end of this year, but there are other s in his office that are really good. they have all been really nice and supportive. I am still draining a bit on the left drain, but hopefully i will still get them both out on Monday. I finally took a sponge bath and washed my hair though - man that was great!
Hope everyone is doing well!
