Answer:

my PS doesnt use s for tts so I never had one. He said they restrict the blood flow and prevent air circulation around the wound - just his opinion though, in fact to begin with I thought that not having one would ruin my results and kept phoning the nurse who eventually told me to go buy some cycle shorts if I really felt the need!.

I guess these PSs are all different in their methods, approaches and aftercare.

My results are fine, I healed relatively quickly with no problems, could they have been better with a binder??? I dont think so

Hello Hummergirl!

I have been following your story and I must say you are one courageous woman!!! OMG... Things will go smoothly from now on, I’m sure. You must be so happy that you are on the mend.

I got my TT on October 18th (happy B-Day, by the way) and I am still wearing the .

I have a feeling I will be for a while. The nurse told me it helps the 2 ls that they seperated during the surgery to join together again faster and also it creates less of a gap for fluid to collect in that area.

I have no more drains since Monday, though.
What type of binder do you have? Mine is just the wrap around velcro type, but there are people here who talk about stage one and stage two binders... No mention of that in my case.

Anyways, that’s what I know about Binders.
Also, if you are short waisted like I am you might want to roll down the top part that sticks in your ribs, this helped me alot.

Cheers!
