I see a lot lately on placement, and have had pics sent over where folks were worried about placement.
Question: how far in centimeters is your scar from your belly button, and do you feel it's too low, too high, or just right ?

Dr. You and i have already discussed my issue. I believe it is crooked and too high. I am going for a visit to my ps tomorrow. I will discuss this with him again. I did know that he had trouble with my tummy in the front because he said my was more youthful than the sides....I guess that is his answer ..... I still think it could have been a little lower since it is approx, 1 1/2 inches from the bb I am 11 days out.

Mine is very low above pubic hair and is about 3 inches below the bb......it is nice just dark at 6 months b/c I am tan...

Dr. I am VERY happy with the location of my . My s po are the proff. My dr. wants everyone to be able to wear two piece bathing suits after there tt. My scar is very thin and not lumpy and starting to fade already. My tt was Oct 12th 2005. judy

Well my BB is slightly right of centre and I'm sure its an inch higher than it should be (I can feel where my BB used to be and it seems to draw up to the new BB). The side of the BB is central but the rest is to the right....(I dont know if that due to swelling because I'm not sure I have that at the moment...as my tummy feels fine right now).
I had the high lateral tension incision because I felt that following an upward flow towards the outer ribs would look better (instead of the smiley face that would entirely follow the natural crease and horizontal lines make you look fat right?). It has elongated the look of the thighs and when I wear corsets or high french style knickers...it is hidden well. However when I wear low slung jeans (most of the time)...the does show. Its a clear scar above the jeanline, (no redness, slightly crooked) but still has a bit of puckering.
The scar goes from about 2 cms below BB, 2cms in front of either side of hips and dives down to 3 cms above my clit. I love it...in theory, it has done all it should in lifting my mons pubis, getting rid of MUCH unwanted hair, pulling up my inner thighs BUT now its done and all that is solved....
You know where the saddlebags adjoin the hips...you get an indent there. Well, my scar follows up and creates a secondary line...so my hips are now divided into 3 lumps of /fat instead of two. It would be nice to pinch that scar and take it down to the natural crease but I'm guessing that would take too much work and I'd lose the elongated thigh look I wanted to begin with.
I must say that if PS had followed the smiley face thing he wanted to do, it wouldnt pulled anything up...so I'd still have the stretchmarks in the bit of skin adjoining the thighs and a loose pubic area. So how can one have all the benefits? Straight across wouldnt have done it, neither would the cute wavy line jobby....so maybe for me I should leave it alone and lose more weight? That seems reasonable, as if I have a pinch the inch off...it will really be an extension and then I may have more problems...ie keep on going, all the way round!...LOL.
The scar itself is interesting. I had my FTT 11/18/05 and now there are 5 3cms parts of the line that are totally clear.....you cannot tell where skin meets skin (it melds so well and looks like I had it done 10 years ago) and other areas that are a dark red line and spitting stitches. I gather thats due to the undissolvable fishing tackle underneath vs thinner skin there.

My is about 6.5 cm (2.5 inches) below my belly button and then it goes up some on the sides, which works finel for me. I can wear a bikini or low-rise jeans and no one will see it. I have other problems with it and my PS said I may need a revision later this year, but the placement is good.

Hi, My is almost 8 cm below the BB. It's straight across to almost the sides of hips. It's thin and smooth. Surgery was on 7-15-05.

My is 9 centimeters under my BB. So about 3 1/2 inches below BB. But I do have a verticle scar that is 3 1/2 centimeters or 1 1/2 inches high.

HI, mine seems to be about 1.75 inches or about 4 cm below the bottom of my belly button. It seems also about 1-2 inches above my panty line. Since I am only 7 days out, maybe things will shift- but for now I am sort of distraught!

Mine goes up a bit in the middle and is consequently only about 1.25 inches below my belly button. I think my belly button is a little low though rather than my being too high. I'm not really happy with how close it is - but I also wasn't planning on exposing it to the general public much.

I'm only 5'2", and definitely not long-waisted if you're taking those things into account.
My is just a little over 8 cm from the bottom of my BB, and 2 cm above my pubic hair line (had to do that to avoid the vertical scar from my old BB). I think the placement is fine as my bikini bottoms and low-rise jeans totally cover the scar.
My BB seemed to be too high at first, but I think that's just because I was so used to seeing it further down all those years! The placement of it seems perfect now (11 cm below the crease of my breast) now that I'm used to it and my flat tummy!
