Question:
I'm curious what everyone here is putting on your TT incision to help it heal? I was told not to use Vit E until next week.. I can't remember the name of the stuff that I'm using now (lol)... but curious what the best stuff is to use to help make the fade? I'm planning on getting those silicon strips on Weds. once my last bit of stitches come out.
Answer:
Mine has been completely uncovered since day one. Did nothing for the first week, but when I went Thursday for my one week postop he told me to use Neosporin. I was looking and reading and it seems as though this is good b/c it aids in the healing plus infection fighting and reduces ing. I may be wrong, but when I was at CVS looking at stuff especially for scars, I am thinking we should not be using those yet, kinda sounds like they are for actual scars that are still there after healing..??? does that make sense? As you know, I am not a I just play on on line!!

Answer:
I was using Bag Balm while the incision was healing. Now I haven't used anything all week. Guess I got lazy...Now when I get around to massaging, I'll probably just use whatever lotion is the closest at the time. No fancy treatments for me!
Answer:
My ps recommends Neosporin Strips.
Answer:
I am using l.a.b. (life after baby) I got 2 bottles on sale at Bath & Body Works. It is really a c- reducer and I thought why not? I also bought something from Wal_mart for scars, think it was Maderma or something but lost it before I could use it! Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh This is supposed to be used everyday and I just started using it a couple of days ago. I wanted to make sure that everything was healed properly.
Answer:
Just started the strips today. My ps told me to quit putting stuff on the scar at 3 weeks PO. All the scabs are gone so I'm going to get this scar started on looking better.

Answer:
My ps told my not to use anything. Just tape or those curad therapy strips. But I feel like a little won't hurt. Anything to make it look nice!!!
Answer:
My PS had me keep tape on it for 8 weeks (changed it once a week) to help keep the flat - it definately worked. After that I used Bio-Oil and then . These things seemed to make it redder - which is a stage it goes through anyway. To be honest I haven't put anything on it in the last 4 months and since I stopped it has faded HEAPS. I think different things seem to work for different people so possibly a bit of trial and error involved. By the way you are gorgeous. I am sure your scars will fade - I know the waiting is the hardest part.
