Strange pain

Question:
In the past week I have had this strange upper abdominal pain. It comes on rather suddenly and the pain is similar to when you get punched in the stomach. It has happened 2 times so far (coincidently both times were late on Friday night....a week apart). Last night I noticed it going around into my back. Almost like I had a rubber band around my upper abdomen. I walk a little hunched over and if I sit down and bend my upper body all the way over (as if Im trying to look at my toes) then it helps a little bit but it doesnt make the pain go away. It last about 30-45 min. Any idea of what this might be? I was having a little panic attack last night because this is a new pain for me, its not something that I have felt before. When i suggested that it was my heart my husband looked at me like I was crazy. I dont know. One thing i have thought of is that for the past 2 months I have drastically changed the way I eat and last night I allowed myself Taco Bell. Dont know how this would make me feel like i was punched in the stomache but you never know. Any thoughts??? Thanks!
Answer:

What you are describing sounds like it could possibly be your gall bladder. However, you need to be checked out by a doctor. You don't say how old you are, but females are more likely than males to get gall bladder disease. I had my gall bladder out after a horrific attack when I was 35 yrs. old. Now I feel great and I can eat anything and everything with no problems! Don't be afraid to see your doctor because it's what you DON'T know that can hurt you. Good luck!
