Question:
All day yesterday everytime I breath in, I smell like a gassy smoke smell in my nose and it's getting me really worried. I've had it quite alot before (mainly in December) but they only happen for few minutes. And it happened in the past for 5 years but again the smell was only for a few seconds.
I did have an cold in December and mainly it was only one of my nostrils kept running and sometimes if I think I;m going to sneeze but don't then I have this pressure feeling in the same nostril for a few seconds.
Also everytime I wake up my nose tends to be blocked up or runny and sometimes I feel my nose is flared.
Could it be a sinus infection or possibly tumour?
I'm getting kinda freaked out.

Thanks for replying. I went to the doctors and she thinks it could be that but she's unsure why I got the gas smell. She gave me a nasal spray and it has helped a little - I don't get the smell as much and the pressure on my head is less.
I just need to take a blood test to rule out anything else. But thankyou for your post
