Tonsil Stone Treatment and Bad Breath Treatment

Question:
Ok, so I know there are it seems like a million posts on this subject, but I just wanted to offer one alternative treatment that I've been using and it seems to be working. I've had tonsil stones for about 2 years now.. they come and go and sometimes get really bad. Recently, I had a very bad and chronic case of them. I looked everywhere online for a remedy. I've seen all the Therabreath adds and even went to my local pharmacy to buy some but it was so expensive for this tiny little bottle. So anyway I was in Walmart (yes, the evil empire) and found that they carry a brand of mouthwash that is alcohol free, sugar free (it is endorsed by the American Diabetes Association) and very cheap (about $3 for 20 fl oz). Its called DenTek Breath Remedy. It says it is made specifically for bad breath and uses oygenating technology to kill Volatile Sulfur Compounds (I believe its the Benzalconium Chloride in it, brand name OraSan, that may kill the bacteria?). I've been using it once in the morning and once at night for about 2 weeks now. It is a much gentler mouthwash than the listerine I was using previously, and it does seem to be helping with my tonsil stones. I no longer notice the irritating "lump" I felt from the stones, though I'm sure they are still there. I doubt the wash got rid of my DEEP existing stones, I wish I knew what would, but they are definitely less noticable and I haven't seen/felt any new formations. Again, I'm not soliciting for DenTek or anything, just trying to offer a possible alternative remedy to those high priced treatments. If you can't find it at a walmart or anything their listed website is ( REMOVED - NO WEBSITES - USE PRODUCT NAMES ONLY) The stones were never that bad until just recently where they seem to be a plague on my quality of life because they are so annoying. Does anyone know somewhere that will professionally remove deep existing stones?
Thanks

Hi, I too have suffered with these and I have found that a water pik helps greatly. For those of you who dont know , a water pik is a small irrigator that you can find in the dental hygene isle at the drug store. I believe that it is meant for your gums and teeth, but it works wonders for tonsil stones.
I used to remove my stones when I could feel or see them with a Q-tip, so I had a good idea where they were coming from. Now I just take the water pik (i use a the lowest pressure setting) and stick it back into where they come from. Usually they will come right out. It takes some practice to get the hang of but after time you will know just where to do it. I hope that this helps and good luck!
