Cat Scratch fever???

Has anyone had this? What kind of symptoms did you have?

My daughter was diagnosed with cat scratch fever. I also had her tested for mono which has very similar symptoms...she tested postive for mono and negative for cat scratch fever...please consult your doctor and get a blood test, this is the only way to know for sure. Please be aware that both diseases have no formal treatment besides rest and time...Good Luck to you.....susan

Cat-scratch fever is also known as Bartonella. It has recently been found to also be transmitted by ticks. Symptoms include lymph node swelling, fatigue, headache. Severe cases are treated with antibiotics.

I had cat scrath fever once. My cat bit me on my foot causing red streaks from the wound over 24 hours. I went to doctor and I was put on antibiotics I haven't any more problems.

We chatted about this on one of the other boards...rare diseases, I believe.
I'm curious...you mentioned on that board that it's been years since you had cat scratch fever. Are you having some strange symptoms that you're trying to pin down? Like, is something new going on that you think might be related to having cat scratch fever several years ago? If so, you might get better results to your question if you post your symptoms.
