I got bitten on my foot friday night, by saturday was all swollen up. Got some benedryl cream which has eased it, however have felt dizzy, bit sick with it. Has this happend to anybody else and what could have bitten me xx

My guess is you may have gotten a spider bite. If it's still swollen, or if the area is red and/or hot go see the doctor. Don't know what to tell you about the creme...maybe you are allergic to something in it?! I wouldn't think that the cream itself would make you dizzy,since you didn't ingest it, but hey, you never know! My guess would be that those other side effects were related to the bite.

whatever it was that bit you, you have developed a sensitivity to the bite. I agree, probably a spider bite. And, depending upon where you reside, this could be serious. Please stop trying to treat it yourself and go to the doctor. chris

I agree that you need to see a doctor. A bite that's swollen isn't necessarily anything to worry about unless it becomes infected. But with having other symptoms such as dizziness and feeling sick, it could definitely be a spider bite and you may need medical treatment. Also, if you begin to see any red streaks on your skin, you need treatment immediately.
