Question:
OK, Don't know where to post this so I thought I'd give this one a try to see if I get a response. Here's my problem which are many but this one is pressing right now. I'm back up to 300 after having a complete hysterectomy in Dec. of 2003, they found cancer confined in my uterus. My problem is I've noticed I have this pinching like pain in my lower left stomach when I move or bend over to get up. At first I thought I had a hernia where they took out my ovaries. But I've noticed my upper belly is hard and when I lightly press on it I feel the pinching too. I've noticed when I pass gas it helps and when I have a bowel movement it helps. That's something I have trouble with too. Having BM's. Do you think I could have like some stool trapped up there and that's what's causing the pinching? I took some prunes and took an herbal tea called smooth move and then I also gave myself a Fleet's ennama. After the ennema it felt a lil better but the pinching is still there.
Please any response would be greatly appreciated.
Pam
Answer:
Well, usually any problems with the bowel will be felt in the lower left. Have you noticed any difference in the way your stool looks? If not, I would say as long as you can still pass things, there's no blockage anywhere. Did they check your bowels when they found your uterine cancer to make sure everything was ok? I guess a good question to ask would be - When did the pinching start?
Answer:
Thanks Kellie, I"m not sure if they checked my colon when they did the surgery. The pinching started 4 days ago. This morning when I woke up I had gas pains like I did when I had the surgery located in the area of the pinching but this time it was on both sides.
