Question:
If im sleeping or just dozing and someone wakes me up, my insides start to shake. You cant see it from the outside though but its really frightening me. My doctor said its just your body waking up to the fact that its just been startled. Its been going on for about a year now and its getting to the point where i dont even have to be woken up, it just happens when i wake up to turn over. Does anyone else get this?
Answer:
What do you mean when you say that your insides shake? Could you describe the sensation a little more?
Answer:
Yes, I do. I have narcolepsy and this happens usually upon awakening (doesn't have to be suddenly, never a clear defined trigger) and sometimes along with it I am unbearably cold and my teeth chatter. I also get visual disturbances at times where the closest explanation is like someone put your eyeballs in a bag of water and shook them up. You see everything jump around and can't control it. Have you researched narcolepsy at all? You should also research sleep paralysis.
Here's a few more weird ones I also experience: muscle weakness in upper legs and thighs, slurred speach, slowed thinking, loss of vocabulary, lost time, attacks that feel like trying to stay awake after taking a sleeping pill, migraines, nightmares, interrupted sleep at night, inability to move upon awakening or falling to sleep, audio hallucinations as well as visual, waking dreams, slowed thinking and processing, constantly forgetting and always repeating, not recalling things done on a regular basis, irritability, foggy feeling, .....there's so many more, if this fits in any way, let me know or ask anything you want. I may not always think of things in the right order or put them into words........let me know.
