Question:
Hi there,
I was wondering if somebody out there may know what my problem could be. I have this thing about going to the doctors, and dont want to go there if it is nothing, i thought id check here first, then if nothing shows ill try going.
For about 6 months now, i have been getting these little lump type things, about the size of half a small finger nail. they are offwhite colour, and sort of rounded ball shape things.I suppose they look a bit like a cooked rolled oat (piece of porridge) also have a bad smell to them.hard to describe, sort of like the smell of pierced ears, you know what i mean? they are quite soft, and when i rubbed one between my fingers it went all like into little little grainy pieces.
I feel like i have something stuk in my throat, and eventually itll just somehow project its self out of my throat into my mouth, usually a bigger one then a small or 2 to follow. at first they were very often, about twice a week, then about once, now they are every few weeks.
i have no pain in my throat, or neck or anything like that.
so does anybody have any idea as to what it is, or perhaps suffered this same thing?
is it worthy of a dr visit?

Those are very common, and called tonsil stones, or techincally "tonsilloliths." There is a HUGE long thread about them futher down on the page called tonsil stones. Read it, you'll see that TONS of other people have them. And don't worry, they aren't dangerous. Just one of those things bodies do.
