Sometimes my fingers swell when I am sleeping. They almost look like little link sausages. The swelling has even woke me up. Does anyone elses fingers do this? Does anyone know what would cause this? Hope someone has some answers, Thanks

I think it may be positional, meaning the way you lay on them. I know it's happened to me on occassion, and the swelling slowly subsides during the morning.

I do this a lot too. My hands swell all the time. I know mine is due to me eating a lot of salt. I don't know if you do or not but try reducing the amount of sodium in your diet. The last posters right..if you are laying on them a certain away they can swell because of this too. If you wake up during the night and notice they are swelling change positions and if it goes away by morning I wouldn't worry about it.

Actually, my fingers do this EVERY night. I have psoriatic arthritis, it's along the lines of rhumetoid arthritis. It sucks to have it and it hurts. My derm put me on Enbrel twice weekly injections (NOT FUN), but it has helped take that away almost 100%. Check it out. Do you have any other arthriticky (new word) pains?
