Question:
i'm currently recovering (6 days post) from of I/O thighs, abdomen, waist, and knees. so far everythig has gone as well as expected. last night was my first time removing my to take a shower. i took some time to inspect my bruises- it was hard to look at myself but it all seems to be normal, EXCEPT- one whole side of my outer labia has a really dark, almost black bruise. my post-op appointment with my PS's nurse was yesterday and she removed the bandages around that area so i assume she would have noticed it (i was laying down so my "hoo-hoo" was in plain view) and she would have said something if there was a problem. but it seems strange to me to get a bruise there.
i'm sorry if this is WAY too much information but i'd just like to know if anyone else had this kind of a bruise and if i should be concerned.
also is there any way to make the bruise disappear faster?

here is my story
Just like you but I had both sides, my labia was soooo swollen and hung down like inches , was bruised black and actually hard on both sides with the swelling...OMG i almost fainted...
but in a week the swelling went down and now all gone shows nothing..
3 weeks... but that was where I had the most leaking the incision just above and everything went south...intense bruising
there is nothing to make it go faster...its healing and i did use a lot of gel and i still believe it helped a lot but not even close to the open incision any gel or in case of infection...
its ok and normal whew

I had that too.. It's very odd and I just tried to ignore it as much as possible...It eventually went away.
We are not exactly the prettiest sites right after surgery but then later va va voom!

My hoohoo isnt bruised but it's SWOLLEN AS HECK! I was freaking out til Bonafidediva said she had the same thing!

I am so glad you ladies do share this sort of info, it helps prepare me and others as to what we might see and have happen to us, and it keeps my freak out mode to a minimal....

Dont be alarmed. My cookie was so swollen it looked like my surgeon had mistakingly did some fat grafting to that area, LOL
I also have some kinda rash ont he side too. Its been hurting like hell but thanks to the advice of Hurtz i put some desitin on it and its progressing rather well.
