I had my surgery last Wednesday the 31st and today is the 6th so I guess 5 days! It's not bad except the darn swelling... it so uncomfortable, I swear I am going to get stretchmarks...
Answer:

Bless your heart, I feel so bad for you... You are still early post-op, huh?

I hope the swelling goes down pretty soon for you...

Answer:

That is the WORST.. I went back at 3 weeks post op and there were days I could NOT wait to leave and get home so I could take off my cloths, put my feet up and relax.. funny.. I just had a day like that and I am 6 weeks post op..

Would be nice if you could take a few more days off or even work from home if your job allows.. I would have been miserable back at work at 2 weeks. good luck!
Answer:

Oh, I know first hand exactly what you mean!!!! I had my surgery Jan 26, and today, day 11, I worked all day and I am swollen like a stuffed pig (ready for a luau). I think it is from sitting at a desk all day, cut in half. Even the tops of my thighs ached, I guess from swelling. It is weird. But I am sure this is NOT the last of it. Well it is supper time, I think I will try to go find something very low sodium to eat, and keep on drinking my lemon water. Oh yes, and put my feet up. AAHH!!! Bye.......Betz51
Answer:

Boy can I relate Betz! I feel like the Pillsbury Dough Boy today!!!
Answer:

Ok I do work from home every Wednesday so tomorrow I will have the laptop on my chest and my feet up (if the 14 month old ruler of the universe allows).

Luckily I picked her up from Daycare and she fell asleep in the car, we got home she laid on my chest and I put my feet up on the arm of the loveseat and we took a nap! THANK GOD!

Thank you girls for the sympathy! I really needed it!
Answer:

That's a prick when that happens. I work in a factory and it gets damn hot in there so I know how it feels when the swelling drives you mad! Drink green tea aswell and also try to ensure your desk/office area or whatever it is stays cool. Other than that, you pretty much gotta just be patient and wait it out.

Oh and keep the salt intake way down too....
Answer:

Green tea!! I should have thought of that, I have a whole can of it in my darn desk... Thanks Psycho!!

I hope your first day back went ok, I was nervous for you!
