Question:
When I went to my first consult back in August my ps quoted me a price for i/o thighs, upper ab, knees, flanks and revision (from tt which she is doing no charge) She was not my ps for tt her associate was and didn't seem like he wanted to do revisions. When I went to my pre op last week she said that she wasn't sure about the knees but sees it woud be good to do and charged an additional $1,500 (down from $2,000)
I did ask her on our first visit for her to write down exactly what she would do for the original $6,000 quote but forgot to bring it. So I didn't pay for the surgery at that time and told them I would call them. So today I went in to pay and brought my note to ask why the additional charge. The assistant when back to her and showed her the note and my file which she said she wrote and took off the $1,500. When I got a copy of the notes/drawing in my file for my records she did write +/- on knees and upper abs but not on my note.
I guess I feel kind of bad (I have trouble ag for what I want) because my note was not the same as her notes. Plus I was so under educated with my tt that I didn't discuss expectations so my mind was so different than his. So I was disappointed and now I am so worred that I will do the same thing. I will be bringing copies of all notes and such to my surgery to make sure my markings match.
Sorry I just had to get this out so I can quit feeling bad that I may be cheating her.
Answer:
If your request was unreasonable I'm sure she woudn't have agreed. Don't beat yourself up, be HAPPY that you negotiated a better deal on your surgery with the surgeon you want!
You go girl!
Answer:
I think as long as you have it in writing as I did, black and white
never feel bad...omg they make so much money on these proceedures
But make sure its the same areas that you want and no confusions as you know the day of surgery can be very stressful and dont want any confrontations that day
good stuff be happy wow
mine was $7000.00
Answer:
Thanks guys! I have a copy of her notes in the file and what she originally wrote down. I will be holding this when she marks me up. I have learned to get it in writing. Everyone should do so. We remember the appointment but we are not their only person getting . It must be hard to remember what you told someone after a couple of months. I just want us on the same page. I guess it is just that she is doing all the tt revisions for no charge. Who knows maybe she is getting it paid back from my tt ps since they are associates.
Answer:
I agree retiree, these PS are certainly making money hand over fist. I paid 11,000.00 for 3 hours with my surgeon.. Not a bad hourly rate...
To their defense, they do work miracles with those procedures... the money was worth it!!!
