Question:
I want to have saved the money ahead of time to pay for my procedure in full but I was thinking why not do some creative financing instead of write a check.
If I opened a 0% intrest rate credit card that gives reward points/cash back I think I could earn a little bit back plus delay paying for about a year. And I could earn intrest in the bank on the money that is earmarked for the surgery.
I'm financially disciplined so paying it off before the 0% intrest runs out wouldn't be a problem (as long as it had been saved ahead of time). And I've done this for other major purchases. WDYT?
Answer:
Yes you got it girl sounds good
As long as you are capable of paying it back when its due and it sure sounds like it...
yipeee happy for you
Answer:
Sounds like a decent plan. Any chance you are getting a tax return? You could use that if you are. Also, you might try saving some cash so you don't have to put it all on your card.
I'm getting a bonus in March and using that, plus I will have saved $1-$2K cash and then I'll finance the rest. Like you, I hope to pay it off quickly.
Answer:
Well, DH and I have agreed to a figure, $6000. And we have the cash for it already. So as long as I can keep it to that, the creative financing would be a bonus.
I'm hoping to get to outer thighs, flanks/hips (is this considered one area?), possibly arms and abdomen. I'll be a repeat patient so maybe a discount b/c of that and I just found an advertisement offering 10% off a procedure from his office.
No, I'm not going to a doc b/c of a coupon. I just stumbled across the ad today, weeks after I made the appt. I guess it's just their slow season. Since he uses a hospital I'm sure it's 10% off his surgical fee only. I used him for a which I had good results from, that's why I'm going back to him for a lipo consult tomorrow eek!
I've had 2 kids with significant weight gains each time so I'm not even sure that my abdomen is a good candidate. I'm not interested in a tt at this point so if it can't be lipo'd then I think I'll just deal with it. It's pouchy but not sagging . Also I've heard that arms show the least improvement so I'm really looking for his professional judgement in these area's. I could end up just wanting to get the outer thighs and flanks/hips done.
We'll see. I really don't know if it's possible for the price I have in mind.
Answer:
I had the money ahead of time too, but I put it on my CC for the miles, then just paid it off right away.
Answer:
I saved up for months before my procedure. I didnt want to worry about owing, or missing a payment.
Now that I think of it, I wish I had put it on a card for the milage or points. I do have a bonus coming in a few months, plus my tax return. I think I will put it on a card and immed. pay it off.
