Question:
What a blessing this new found forum is to me!
I am 5'5 weighing 135. I will have a mini and on my hips, lateral thighs and tummy immediately following my hysterectomy.
What insight can you give me on my procedure ...
Is it best to lose some weight BEFORE having lipo, or best to let them suck more out?
Since I just want my bulges smoothed out, how much fat can I expect to be extracted ...and when can I expect to see results and feel back to par?
Many Thanks to you beautiful people.....!

Hi, and welcome.
I came across this info when I was doing research a while back - it shows a case study of a hysterectomy/TT patient and it may be relevant to you.
You are at a healthy weight for your height, so there is no pressing need for you to lose weight - but the general advice is to lose weight before . After lipo, your body will be somewhat deficient in a fat cell hormone called lepitin. A leptin shortage has been shown (in animal tests) to contribute to increased appetite and laziness - this impairing one's ability to lose weight after liposuction. Personally, I have lost 18 pounds in the six weeks since my liposuction (up to 13 of which may have been the direct result of my liposuction), and I have absolutely no sense of increased appetite or laziness. Regardless, it is healthier to lose weight naturally (because you tend to lose fat around your internal organs in addition to fat that the more visible fat that is removed with liposuction).
Without seeing your s (or examining you personally), no one can be accurate in guessing your fat extraction. Even your surgeon won't know how much can be extracted until he begins the procedure and gets a complete sense of your body composition (including the degree to which your fat is fiburous). There are also varying levels of conservatism with respect to fat removal - and you and/or your can opt for greater conservatism (and fewer risks of complications), or greater aggression, and correspondingly higher risk. My wild guess (because I can't resist) - based on your size and the areas to be suctioned, I would guess that a semi-conservative procedure will remove between 2 and 3 litres of fat. A litre of fat weights 2 pounds (90% as much as a litre of water).

I am also 5'5 and about 130. I had bilaterial thighs and hips and he took out 1500cc. Most if not all my weight was in my thighs. It just all depends where the weight is for you. I have not had children so I don't have the weight in my stomach. Hopefully, that will give you an idea of what to expect. But, like I said keep in mind that everyone is different.
