Question:
Hello all. I've been hanging out on the TT board this week and thought it was time I ventured over here. On April 5th I'm having a TT/MR, BA/BL, and of hips and outer thighs.
I think I have a pretty good idea how to mentally prepare for and what to expect from the . But the lipo is something I haven't researched all that much. I've looked at a lot of s, so I think I have realistic expectations of what to expect asthetically.
I'd like to know what to expect as far as pain and recovery. I'm hearing about bruising and a burning sensation.
How long should I expect to be in pain and how long should I find myself glued to the couch? Obviously, I'm having a lot more than lipo, so there's much more to recover from. But for the average lipo patient, what should one expect?
Thanks a bunch!

By the way, I've already ordered my post op , which covers from my waist to below my thighs. Like cycling shorts, but an actual garment. I've also ordered drinks for before and after surgery (to aid in healing), bought (for bruising and muscle soreness), plan to buy . If I remember correctly, that one is an anti-inflammatory?
Most of my info has come from my sister who has had , lost about 160 pounds, had an extended TT and arm lift a year ago. Today, even as we speak, she is surgery to have her thighs and butt lifted. Major stuff!
However, she has never had , so she cannot advise me on anything related to lipo.
Thanks again!
Answer:
otherthan swelling - Im not having to many problems with my yet - but I am only 3 days post op. I had tt/mr (this is the part that hurts), lipo of flanks, lower back, hips, i/o thighs, knees arms and chin, plus BA. I dont think he took out much 1800cc's, and the scale as everyone says is not your friend (of course I couldnt resist and Im up like 6 lbs) which I dont get cuz ive only been eating liquids on top of that. But my pain is coming mainly from the MR/TT - I am just sore where all my lipo incisions are. I have full range of arm movements with no problem. Inner thighs are very tender. ill let you know when I feel more swelling or anything else.

Thanks Tee Gee.
I suspected the TT was the most painful. I heard it was more painful and longer recovery than the BA. It's nice to hear from someone who just had all the things I'm having done, except you had a lot more .
Do you have a lot of bruises?
Are you basically lying down all the time? How much time can you be up before you just have to lie down again?
Do you have a two story house and, if so, are you going upstairs? Do you sleep in your bed or somewhere else?
Lots of questions! Thanks for any replies.
