Revision Question

Question:
I am going to ask my PS to do revisions on my flank and waist area. I originally had 2300cc's taken out and have been left with bulges in my flank area.

My question is, should I expect the same amount of down time with revisions and the same amount of swelling to occur?
Answer:

The board is a little slow, but I'll bump this post for your because the question is a good one - and there are plenty of people out there who have experienced revisions (I am not one of them.)

If I am not mistaken, revisions don't usually occurr until 6+ months from the initial surgery. In that case, your body has mostly healed by the time you have the second (revision) surgery. From a physiological standpoint, you are starting with a blank slate, and all else being equal - your recovery should be similar.

In most cases, however, there is less volume removed during a revision surgery, as it is essentialy fine tuning. If this is the case, I would expect your recovery from revisions to be somewhat quicker/easier than your initial surgery.

Answer:

revisions are SO MUCH easier in regard to swelling and recovery and even wearing is shortened. I had 3500 cc out for my initial all over my body and for my revisions I had 1100 cc out all over as well. I was out of the house and driving the next day and doing a lot of work, laundry, stair climbing...all wiht ease

I just had revisions done Feb 20th on the outer/inner thigh/hip I had back in November. We had to take a weensy bit out of the right saddlebag that red and he said there was a bit of bulge at the top of each inner thigh that he wanted to get rid of. I have to admit it was REALLY weird to be awake the whole time, and I have an insanely high drug tolerance so they had to dope me up pretty good hehehehe.
Today I feel pretty nasty but nowehere near as bad as I did the first time (they took nearly 6500 cc's the original lipo out of the saddlebags (man they were HUGE) and my outher thighs looked GREAT ewxcept for one small bit they missed on one saddlebag (which is now gone)), so I'l going to work in a bit!

Good luck w/ yours!
