Question:
i had inner/outer thigh 9 days ago. i am 38 and a size 6ish. i had lipo bc i am one of those folks you see and say, "hmmm.... she sure is disporportioned-look at that tiny body and then those hog-thighs!" i have small everything except my thighs which were enormous on my body frame.
lipo was a HUGE step for me bc i have always tried and tried and tried to get it off w/ exercise and diet. i can get ny everywhere at any given moment except these stupid legs.
i did an enormous amount of research and am very happy with my ps in the atlanta area. i did not go wrong on my choice.
i even told him my goal was "bird legs" i said, "write that on my chart. BIRD LEGS, do you hear me???" he even drew some feathers on my legs the day of surgery to ease my nerves...
that being said, i do not think i would bug them by asking the ?s i have, but i swear it seems like everyday, i need an answer, so i will ask here instead of calling them all the time, if that is ok with all of you.
1. my scale says i have 51% water retention. the morning of my surgery i had 28%. doesn't that seem amazingly high?
2. my legs hurt constantly. riding in a car is crazy. i am at 30% of my normal activity. i cannot imagine walking a mile the day of my surgery. should i really start exercising? will that somehow help?
3. i have blood pools in my ankles, knees, and bottoms of my feet. i understand that is normal, but what happens next? where does it go?
4. the swelling is amazingly painful and i am a tough cookie. just to pull down my stage 2 to potty makes me want to pass out. it seems like most of you had minimal pain compared to me--any comments?
thanks again for any help,
little-lipo

Hi
I am 8 days post op. Had all over, plus a , plus brachioplasty on my arms. To me, the worst pain is in my arms, though I do have leg pain. Driving is hard on the legs!
How does your scale pinpoint the amount of water retention you have? I know I am swollen, but I dont know how much. I am wearing my pre-op jeans and they are a little looser.
Hang in there. Definitely exercise. I went to the gym today and did 2 miles slowly on the treadmill. Baby steps all the way! Just like you feel better when you are up and around for awhile, rather than the first moments after getting out of bedd or off the sofa, every little thing you can do to increase mobility will help the healing.

thanks for the reply.
i bought a very cool scale about a month ago that gives you your water retention rate and your body fat. i want to say it was about 60.00. it is very cool. my body fat ratio went from 38% to 25% the day of the surgery and has hovered around 25-28% all week.
i really feel like the water ratio is helpful because it shows the amount of fluid still in my body from the swelling, the , etc....
thanks again for ANY ADVICE ANYONE FEELS LIKE SHARING, please and thank you!
