Question:
Hi Again Everyone,
I went back to my dr. Wednesday. Its about an hour drive for me. He did not want to hear that my legs hurt and my groin felt like it was on fire. I explained to him that I had lost my job (no income) and LTD had closed my case (no income no insurance). It was almost like he went def. Remember now that this is Wednesday, he said " I can remove your hardware Friday that could be causing the problem". I like this Dr. but I don't know what to think now. I have tried three different times to look at my MRI and they act like I'm an idiot, its almost like they don't want me to see it. Do you think there might be something he wants to get in there and fix hoping no one will notice? Anyway, I think I will go to a different Dr. so I can have a look at my MRI. I have had S1 L5 and L3 L4 fused so I'm thinking there might be a problem at L2 L3.
Thanks for reading this I guess I'm just getting tired of it all.
I did also get a SSD attorney.
Answer:
I did also get a SSD attorney.
This is why you are not getting any cooperation from your physicians regarding "looking at your records relating to your SSD matter".
Your attorney sent a "Letter Of Representation" to them. In this letter, it is *always* stated NOT to deal with YOU. The medical providers will ONLY discuss your condition with your attorney PER HIS/HER INSTRUCTIONS.
Therefore, anything you want to know & see about your condition that has any relation to your SSD claim you will need to go through your attorney.
Your medical providers will send all their medical documentations to your attorney. Your attorney in turn will send them to SS.
If you want to see your medical records, you will need to visit your attorney's office.
However, you can instruct your attorney to have your medical providers allow you to view your medical records & reports before they are sent to your attorney.
PS: If you do by any chance decide to change doctors, make sure you obtain ALL OF YOUR MEDICAL RECORDS FROM YOUR PREVIOUS DOCTOR.
Good luck!
Answer:
Go where you had your MRI, tell them you want a copy of your MRI and the report..They have to give it to you. I get all my reports and films with no problems.
Have you had a fusion of your spine ?
Answer:
shawley---i am with you. every test of everybody part i have picked up the films/disks and a report myself so i have a copy. since mine is a WC cas ei have also sent for all records from treating dr. I am glad i did. one dr. is telling me one thing but his notes say something else. it was actually a positive experience as he wasn't telling me certain things but has everything and every injury documented properly. I made it clear to him that he also needs to be honest and thourough with me about all dx.

Yes, I have had L5 S1 fused and the hardware caused problems and hurt all the time. So I had the hardware removed and went back to work. Less than a year later L3 L4 was ruptured so I had rods and screws put in again. And now I'm back in the same old pain plus some. My groin feels like there is a lit cigar on it, the backs of my legs feel like someone is pulling every hair out at once and the more I walk the more my heels hurt. I read on here that some of those feelings could be L2 L3 nerves. Not sounding good to me.
I thank you all for the advice, and I will be after them to see my MRI and records.
Thanks again to everyone
