Discomfort after gallbladder surgery

Question:
Hi,

Had my gallbladder out on Jan 31 of this year. I've felt so much better since having it out but lately, for the past week or so, I can feel the area inside where my gallbladder was and it's a bit uncomfortable. I wouldn't say it hurts but it feels like a pulled muscle almost, although I know it's not a pulled muscle. Is this normal after this much time? I didn't feel it for awhile and now it seems to be here. I did shovel a bit last week and I could feel it then too, but since then, it's gotten a bit worse. Should I be concerned? And yeah, yeah, I know, go to the doctor. But what a pain in the butt that is. Call for an appointment, wait a week, drive there, fight traffic, be lucky to find a place to park without getting a ticket, pay a copayment, have the doctor tell me I'm fine, then leave. So I'd like to avoid all that if possible. Anyone? And thanks in advance.
Answer:

Sounds normal to me considering that you shoveled. I stayed out of the gym for almost a month...though I did go back to running after one week. Also, your bile duct may be starting to work better and it could be that.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I just needed to hear that from someone. I'll give it some time and try to take it a bit easier. Thanks.

Answer:

Well, since it is getting worse, I'd be a little concerned. Does it hurt all the time or only when you do certain things? Does it hurt at night, only in the day? after eating? Does anything you do make it feel better?
