Question:
My husband came home from work today shivering and shaking. You could hear him shivering by the sound of his breath. He had a fever, headache, chills and he was so sore it hurt to dry off when he got out of the shower.
Any thoughts guys? Does this sound like the flu?
Thanks! Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Answer:
Yep, thats the flu alright.
Answer:
I had the "true" flu in November. It is the sickest I have ever been in my life. My whole body just ached. I had shivers & sweats. Could not get comfortable, or get my fever to break. The only thing that worked was backing up tylenol and motrin. I would rotate them every 2-4 hours. Meaning, tylenol at 12:00pm, motrin at 2:00pm, tylenol at 5:00pm. That was the only way I got it under control.
He is just going to have to let it run it's course. It stinks. I actually laid in bed and cried. Scared the hubby, as I have a high pain tolerance and he knew I was really sick.
Answer:
It's the flu. I just recovered from it about a week ago. It came on soooo fast with all same symptoms your Hubby had. My body ached so bad! I could break the fever with the meds I was taking but it really didn't do anything for the aches. I was rotating as well with Tylenol ~ Aleve & Motrin and the body aches just didn't want to go away. Hopefully your Hubby is feeling better by now and you don't get it Tyff
Answer:
Thank ya'll so much! The tylenol and motrin really helps. I'm so sorry all of you have had it. I'm praying I don't get it too so I can take care of the babies! =) Thanks for the advice Brian and Jectac! Glad you're feeling better Tyficca! God bless you all!
Oh, yea, one more quick question. Does the sore throat and ear pain type stuff kick in after the body aches go away? Thanks!
