I am wondering what your pap said prior to your freezing therapy. Did you have Mild or moderate dysplasia? What does CRYO feel like
AND What the outcome was?
I am requesting Cryo instead of LEEP for my HPV and moderate dysplasia. I have only had 1 ab. pap and colpo and this was the verdict. She wants to do The LEEP but because of my hx of losing babies, I would rather do the freezing therapy.
If Doc agrees to this, what can I expect? thank you tahnk you thankyou

I have had both. My first abnormal pap was in Feb 06. I had the colpo then a leep 2 weeks later. At that time I had moderate to severe displasia. I had the leep then bleed for 5 weeks. After I finally stopped I didnt have another period for 3 and a half months. Then I had my check up pap in Aug 06. That one was mild displasia and I had the cyro. That wasnt nearly as bad as the leep. I wouldnt have ever had the leep if I had know it could distroy my chances of having another baby. I liked the cyro. The side effects are not nearly as bad. I had it last tuesday and I have stopped discharging already. I had the watery discharge for a few days with the clots of stuff comming out. I think if I were you and I had a choice between the two I would go with the cyro. I hope this helps and good luck.

I had Mild dypsplsia for three years before I decided to get the Cyro done. It was a hard decision because I was hoping I could do the wait and see, but I got tired of going back and forth to the doctors and doing the copo’s.
After I had the procedure done (Which was last summer), I went back for my 6-month check up, and the doctor still found the mild dypsplsia cells present again. I had to do another copo to rule out anything else of course but then when I went back for my 6-month check up again, it cleared.
Weird huh?
I guess my body needed a little bit more healing time before checking to make sure everything was okay. The procedure was not bad at all for me. In fact, the only thing that made it uncomfortable was the fact that my doctor at times would put pressure to my stomach making it worst. I didn’t have too much clear fluids coming out of me after and I believe I waited almost a month to have sex again. Every female’s body is different, you’ll just have to way which method is best for the condition you have. I say if it’s mild or moderate, do a freeze because Leeps cut away at the cervix. But I’ve also heard some say they did the freeze procedure and it didn’t work but the LEEP did.

Me and my bf of three years hardly ever use condoms, but then again he never withdraws inside of me. I'm guessing your doctor doesn't want the seman to make the condition worst until all is clear.
