I also was diagnosed recently with adenocarcinoma. My Gyn found it after a colposcopy, (when my regular pap came back with atypical cells). After a consult with her she referred me to a gyn/onc immediateley. From there I had a cone biopsy 2 weeks ago. The margins came back positive for adenocarcinoma, however the dr. did tell me that it wasn't invasive yet, and still in it's early stages.
My gyn/onc. seems to really know what he's talking about and he wants to do everything he can to preserve my fertilty,IF I want another child.( My son is 8 months old now) With all the research I've done I know my options. But What do I Do!? This is when the tears come. I'm only 27 years old, still madly in love with my husband of 4 years, and I have been through enough in my life to know that it can change in an instant. My (rather large) family is very supportive, most express concern for my health (they don't want me to risk my life for something I don't know if I want or not), some say go with my gut feeling which is to just have more surgery and try to preserve my womb for a few more years. But, I'm also so afraid of this (pre)cancer inside of me. I need advice, real nonmedical, nonfamily advise.
I'm so glad I found this forom. My heart goes out to all you going thrue the same thing.

Hi,
I am new to this board, but very happy that I found it. I recently had an abnormal PAP AGUS favour neoplasia. I then was sent to an Gyn /Onco who did a leep excision. The results came back as AIS a very small focus with clear margins. My husband and I were thrilled because we were in the middle of trying to conceive for the first time. Now I have recently went for my follow up and was devistated to hear that my PAP is AGUS NOS ( not other wise specified) but my ECC was negative. The doctor suggested a repeat PAP and ECC in 6 months. Has anyone had any similar experiences? I'm scared that some AIS was missed and I dont want to mess around with this.
Thank you for any thoughts or experiences

Just read your post sorry your going threw all this stuff. I to was diagnosed with agus from a bad pap but mine was favor reactive. My Dr did colp which showed cervitis and no dysplasia which was a good thing but now Im waiting for by uterin biopsy to come back he wanted to check everything because Im sure you know agus on a pap is much more rare then squamous cell . If your pap came back agus again I would ask your doctor about also checking your uterus and repeat at least cervical biopsy. Just my 2 cents. This is nothing to mess with.
